Recently, Ningbo FLK officially received the honorary certificate for the "First Prize in Scientific and Technological Progress in Ningbo for 2023." The award, finalized in August 2024, recognizes the collaborative project "Development and Application of Large-Scale Ultra-Lightweight Reflectors for Remote Sensing Satellites Based on Silicon Carbide Additive Manufacturing" conducted by Ningbo FLK, Beijing Institute of Space Electromechanics, and Northwestern Polytechnical University. This honor not only affirms the outstanding contributions of the project team but also serves as a powerful motivator for Ningbo FLK to continue advancing in technological innovation.

As aerospace remote sensing technology evolves, the demand for large, ultra-lightweight satellite reflectors continues to rise. Traditional manufacturing processes face challenges in material property control and structural precision, making it difficult to meet such advanced requirements. Through extensive experiments and theoretical research, the project team successfully overcame these technological obstacles, precisely fabricating complex internal reflector structures while ensuring optimal optical and mechanical performance—laying a solid foundation for the high-performance operation of remote sensing satellites.
This groundbreaking innovation significantly enhances the spatial resolution of remote sensing satellites, expands their Earth observation coverage, and enables the acquisition of clearer, more comprehensive geospatial data. Additionally, it effectively increases satellite payload capacity, substantially boosting overall detection capabilities. The technology has already been successfully applied across multiple aerospace projects, further advancing China’s remote sensing satellite capabilities.
A major step forward for Ningbo FLK and its partners—this achievement reaffirms their role in driving China's technological excellence in aerospace innovation.
